Just 24 hours ahead of the 2025 early signing day period, the Wildcats have landed their second commit in as many days. On Tuesday, 2025 three-star safety Kason Brown from Texas announced that he is flipping his commitment from Texas State to Arizona.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound safety currently plays his high school ball at Reagan County High School in Big Lake, Texas. Brown held offers from five programs, including Cornell, New Mexico, Tulsa, and UTEP, before previously committing to Texas State back on November 18. After receiving an offer from Arizona and taking an official visit to Tucson last week, Brown decided to play his college ball as a Wildcat, not a Bobcat.
247Sports Composite Ratings currently rate Brown as the No. 234 prospect from the Lone Star State, 129th-best safety, and No. 1,557 overall prospect in the 2025 class. The addition of Brown bumps Arizona’s 2025 recruiting class to 49th nationally, and 8th in the Big 12.
With Kason Brown flipping his commitment to Arizona, the Wildcats now have 21 members in their 2025 recruiting class. The Wildcats now also have seven players from Texas, including linebacker Myron Robinson, athlete Sean “Rambo” Robinson, cornerback Swayde Griffin, safety Coleman Patmon, running back Wesley Yarbrough, and cornerback Gianni Edwards. Brown is also the fifth player to flip to Arizona in the UA’s 2025 recruiting class, joining cornerbacks Dajon Hinton (ASU) and Swayde Griffin (Texas Tech), and quarterback Robert McDaniel and linebacker Carter Jones from Cal.
The 2025 Early Signing Day period begins on Wednesday, December 4.
