Following a busy June, jam-packed with hosting 2025 prospects, Wildcat Nation is getting a taste of the recruiting prowess of the new coaching staff under Brent Brennan. After watching the recruiting class balloon to almost 20 players over the last month, the Wildcats added another on Saturday after three-star wide receiver Muizz Tounkara announced live on Instagram he has committed to Arizona.

Tounkara, a native of League City, Texas, plays his prep ball at Clear Springs High School. At 6’4 and 195 pounds, his size and strength make him a valuable pass catcher who can not only create separation and fight through contact, but also contribute as a blocker down the field. During his junior campaign last season, Tounkara hauled in 41 receptions for 411 yards and four touchdowns, along with another three special teams touchdowns.

The wide out named Arizona, Kansas, and Wisconsin in his Top 3 back in late June after taking official visits to each program earlier in the summer, but held offers from a total of 27 programs including Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Utah, and more. 247Sports.com rates Tounkara as the No. 127 player from Texas and 118th-best WR, as well as the No. 764 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class.

Muizz Tounkara is the UA’s second wide receiver addition of the week, joining Orlando, Florida native Isaiah Mizell, who committed to Arizona on Wednesday. He is also Bobby Wade’s fourth wide receiver pledge of the 2025 class, alongside Mizell and three-star commits Terry Shelton and Gio Richardson. The Wildcats now have eight commits from the Lone Star State, the most from the state since 2019.
