With early signing day less than 24 hours away, Arizona Women’s Basketball has landed its first commit of the 2025 class. On Tuesday, 2025 guard Roxy White committed to the Arizona Wildcats.
The 5-foot-11 guard plays her high school ball for Example Academy in Frankfort, Illinois. She also plays club ball for Example Sports, a girls AAU program in the Chicago area that also features top 25 prospect Destiny Jackson, former Arizona target and high school teammate of sophomore guard Skylar Jones.
White received an offer from Ohio State back in 2021, but did not garner a lot of Power 4 interest outside of that. She also held offers from a number of other smaller programs, including Georgetown, Loyola University Chicago, Fordham, Utah State, and Southeastern Missouri. White took an official visit to Arizona on October 13, and received an offer following the trip to Tucson, before ultimately choosing the Wildcats.
Roxy White is the second player that has committed to Arizona in less than two weeks, following a commitment from 2026 Spanish guard Somto Okafor. With the Wildcats’ young core featuring sophomores Jada Williams, Breya Cunningham, and Skylar Jones, it is entirely possible that Arizona does not bring in as robust of a recruiting class as they have in recent years, as Adia Barnes and Co. continue to prioritize quality recruits and playing time over a full 15-woman roster.
