Brent Brennan said on Saturday night following the Territorial Cup loss that it would be a “busy” and “fun” night for him hosting recruits on campus. Now we know why, as at least one of those recruits set aside the outcome of the 2024 Territorial Cup, and decided he’s heading to Tucson next fall. On Monday, 2025 three-star in-state offensive tackle Jaxon Griffin announced his commitment to the Arizona Wildcats.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound offensive lineman currently attends Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona. Griffin, who took an official visit last weekend, chose the Wildcats over offers from Colorado State and Oregon State. 247Sports rates Griffin as the No. 28 prospect from Arizona, and 149th-best offensive tackle in the class of 2025. He does not have a composite rating from the recruiting site.

He is the 20th member of Arizona’s 2025 recruiting class, and the fifth in-state player to commit to the Wildcats, joining defensive back Dajon Hinton, wide receiver Gio Richardson, defensive tackle Kaleb Jones, and quarterback Luke Haugo. Following the commitment from Jaxon Griffin, Arizona now has the No. 52-ranked recruiting class nationally, good for 10th-best in the Big 12.

Early Signing Day begins on Wednesday, December 4.
