The 2026 season is over 18 months away, but that hasn’t stopped Brent Brennan and Co. from starting to look ahead to the future. On the eve of Arizona’s Big 12 opener against Utah, 2026 three-star wide receiver Hamisi Juma from Chandler, Arizona announced his commitment to the Arizona Wildcats.

The 6-foot-4, 195 pound wide receiver currently attends Chandler High School in Chandler, AZ. The athletic receiver finished the 2023 season with eight catches for 59 yards and two touchdowns at Tolleson High School, also in the Phoenix area. Juma also lines up on the other side of the ball as a defensive back. Last season, he tallied 38 tackles in five games.

He is the 13th-best player from the state of Arizona, and No. 135 wide receiver in the Class of 2026, per 247Sports ratings. Juma current holds offers from three other programs, including Arizona Christian, Louisville, and UNLV, but ultimately committed to the Cats after receiving an offer in early June.

Arizona now has two members of the 2026 recruiting class following the commitment Hamisi Juma. He is the first in-state commit of the 2026 class, joining three-star offensive lineman Michael Langi from San Francisco, CA. Brent Brennan and Co. emphasized recruiting the Phoenix area and state of Arizona with the class of 2025, and that appears to be the same case early with the class of 2026.

Juma’s commitment also ensures the Wildcats will have big bodied wide receiver on the roster for years to come, joining the likes of current Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan and 2025 four-star receiver Terry Shelton, who are both 6-foot-four or above.
