TUCSON – You know what they say, when it rains, it pours. Well, it’s been pouring for Becky Burke in Tucson to round out the week. After officially adding assistant coach James Ewing and Kansas transfer Freddie Wallace, former New Orleans center Nora Francois has committed to the Arizona Wildcats, she announced via social media on Friday.

The 6-foot-2 center from Minneapolis, Minnesota spent the past three seasons at New Orleans. She is coming off the best statistical season of her career, averaging 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 30.4 minutes per game. Francois earned Second Team Southland All-Conference honors following the season. She recorded a triple-double last season against East Texas A&M, finishing with 19 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists, as well as five steals and three blocks. Per Jason Scheer of Wildcat Authority, she is the first player this century among Division I players (both men & women), NBA, and WNBA players to have at least 15 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals and 3 blocks in a game.
Prior to her time at New Orleans, Francois began her career at Northern Iowa Area Community College. In her lone season as a Trojan, she appeared in 20 games, making two starts, and averaged 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds.
Nora Francois is the sixth player from the transfer portal committed to Becky Burke and Arizona. She joins guards Lani Cornfield from Buffalo, Mickayla Perdue from Cleveland State, Tanyuel Welch from Memphis, and Kamryn Kitchen from Virginia, as well as forward Freddie Wallace from Kansas.
