The theme of the holiday weekend for the Arizona Wildcats is depth in the trenches. After adding three defensive linemen to their 2026 recruiting class on Friday and Saturday, the Wildcats have shifted to the other side of the ball for their latest pickup. On Sunday, Arizona landed a commitment from 2026 three-star offensive lineman Khalil Sanogo.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Sanogo hails from Mansfield, Texas where he preps at Mansfield Legacy. Following his junior season, Sanogo earned Texas District 3-6A second-team honors. He held offers from 15 different programs, including Kansas State, Houston, and more. After taking official visits, including a trip to Tucson on May 30, he narrowed his top four programs down to Arizona, Cal, North Carolina, and UNLV, before ultimately choosing the Wildcats.

Per 247Sports.com composite ratings, Sanogo is the No. 187 player from the state of Texas, 97th-best offensive tackle, and No. 1,243 overall prospect in the class of 2026. Internally, the recruiting site rates him as the 150th-best player from the Lone Star State and No. 92 offensive tackle.

He uses his size and strength to his advantage, absorbing blows from defenders and not letting opposing players knock him off his spot. His hand placement is also generally good, allowing him to drive defenders back, particularly as a run blocker.

Khalil Sanogo becomes the 20th member in the Arizona Wildcats’ 2026 recruiting class. He is the latest commit in an impressive recruiting run by the Wildcats since late June, joining four-star quarterback Oscar Rios, three-star running back Brandon Smith, three-star edge Prince Williams, and three-star defensive linemen Manoah Faupusa and Keytrin Harris. He is also the fifth prospect from the Lone Star State, which has become an increasingly important recruiting hotbed for the Wildcats as they enter year two in the Big 12.
