As Brent Brennan often reminds Wildcat Nation, there is no such thing as too much depth in the trenches. And with a quarterback as valuable as Noah Fifita back under center for one last ride in Tucson, the Wildcats are doing everything they can to keep him upright and healthy. In doing so, Arizona has bolstered its offensive line, landing a commitment from Washington transfer Zach Henning.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman is a native of Centennial, Colorado, where he attended Grandview High School. Henning spent the past three seasons in Washington, appearing in 28 games during that span. He lined up for 333 snaps this season and started the final four games of the season at center for the Huskies, but also saw action at tight end over the past two years in Montlake. Henning finished the season with a 66.8 overall grade from PFF.com, earning his top grades of the season in each of his four starts down the stretch, including a 71.0 in the LA Bowl win against Boise State.

Henning is also a two-time Big Ten All-Academic Team selection, something that will translate well to taking over at center for Ka’ena Decambra.

He is the first piece of a rebuild for offensive line coach Josh Oglesby and Arizona’s staff. With left tackle Ty Buchanan, left guard Chubba Maae, right tackle Tristan Bounds, and Decambra have all exhausted their eligibility, right guard Alex Doost is the only starting offensive lineman from 2025 slated to return next season. Rhino Tapa’atoutai figures to return to the starting lineup next season, while rising redshirt senior Grayson Stovall is expected to compete for a starting job.
