After a dominant weekend against Utah and Colorado, and Arizona’s first road sweep of the Mountain schools since 2015, Pelle Larsson has a first of his own as well. For the first time in his career, Pelle Larsson has been named the Pac-12 Player of the Week.

Larsson averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, five assists, and 2.5 steals per game, while shooting a combined 17-28, or 60.7 percent from the field. In the Wildcats’ 105-99 triple overtime win over the Utah Utes, Larsson posted career highs of 27 points and eight assists, along with seven rebounds. He followed up his career day with an 18-point, four-rebound, two-assist performance in Arizona’s dominant 99-79 win over Colorado.

He is the fourth Arizona player to be named Pac-12 Player of the Week this season, joining Kylan Boswell (Nov. 13), Oumar Ballo (Dec. 26), and Caleb Love (Jan. 8). That matches the most by a team in a season in league history, done four other times, including three by Arizona (2008-09, 2000-01, 1997-98).
