While the Wildcats await their fate for the 2024 NCAA March Madness Tournament, Adia Barnes has been busy on the recruiting trail. On Wednesday, Serbian small forward Katarina Knežević committed to Arizona. She becomes the second member of Arizona’s 2024 recruiting class.

The 6’0″ small forward plays internationally for the Serbian national team in the 2023 FIBA U18 Women’s European Championship. In seven games, Knežević averaged 12.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 30.3 minutes. Knežević was instrumental in Serbia’s quarterfinals victory over Poland, where she scored 25 points shooting 4-5 from 3-point range, along with four rebounds and two assists.

Katarina Knežević went on to play for the Serbian National Team at the 2023 FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship. She averaged 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. She then played for the Serbian National Team in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers in November of 2023.

The Serbian native also plays club ball for Spain’s Spar Gran Canaria alongside for Arizona guard Jade Loville. Wildcat fans should be excited after Loville responded to Knežević’s commitment post on Instagram saying, “y’all got a dawg”.

She is the second member of the 2024 recruiting class, joining New York guard Lauryn Swann from Long Island Lutheran.
