After picking up four commitments last week, Arizona’s second weekend of hosting 2025 prospects on official visits figures to be just as busy as the first. On Sunday, the Wildcats added another big-time addition to its 2025 recruiting class after three-star in-state cornerback Dajon Hinton flipped his commitment from Arizona State to Arizona following an official visit.

The 5’10, 175-pound defensive back is currently enrolled at Chandler powerhouse Hamilton High School, after spending the past three years at Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 18 games over two seasons at Saguaro, Hinton recorded 25 tackles, three pass breakups, and an interception. He also spent time as a receiver and kick return, before missing most of the 2023 season with an injury.

247Sports.com ranks him as the No. 6 player from Arizona, 84th-best cornerback, and No. 966 overall prospect in the class of 2025. Hinton originally committed to Arizona State over Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Washington, and more, before flipping to Arizona.

He is now the third Hinton to rep the Block A, joining his father, David Hinton, who was a defensive back for the Wildcats from 2000-2002, and D.J. Hinton, his older brother, who was a walk-on wide receiver in 2017.

After he flipped his commitment from in-state rival ASU, Dajon Hinton is now the eighth player to committed to Arizona in the class of 2025, and second in-state commit, joining Higley quarterback Luke Haugo, who pledged to the Wildcats at the beginning of June.
