Ahead of National Signing Day, Brent Brennan and Co. are still making a push to round out their 2025 recruiting class. While the focus has primarily been on the trenches and wide receivers this offseason, this newest Wildcat will line up primarily in the offensive backfield. On Tuesday, 2025 three-star running back Cornelius Warren III committed to the Arizona Wildcats.
The 5-foot-nine, 165-pound Warren III is a native of Forth Worth, Texas and plays his high school ball at North Crowley. During his junior season, he helped lead North Crowley to a 16-0 record and a Texas 6A D-1 state championship. Warren carried the ball 221 times for 1,607 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also hauled in 11 receptions for 172 yards and two more scores.
247Sports.com rates Warren as the No. 112 player from the Lone Star State, 63rd-best running back, and No. 818 overall prospect in the class of 2025. He held offers from 16 programs including Baylor, Houston, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Texas Tech, Utah, and more. After taking an official visit to Tucson on January 25, Warren ultimately chose the Wildcats.
It’s a critical pickup for Arizona, who are only returning Kedrick Reescano and Kayden Luke from last seaon. Quali Conley and Jacory Croskey-Merritt are out of eligibility, while Rayshon “Speedy” Luke and Brandon Johnson departed via the transfer portal. The Wildcats also added Ismail Mahdi (Texas Tech), Mike Mitchell (Utah), and Quincy Craig (Portland State) in the portal.
With Cornelius Warren III committed to Arizona, the Wildcats will have two freshman running backs signed in their 2025 recruiting class, including Wesley Yarbrough, who signed in December.
