With the coaching staff and roster stabilized, Becky Burke is starting to build out the rest of her support staff at Arizona. After naming Michelle Marciniak as the program’s first general manger, the Wildcats have added another new position to Becky Burke’s inaugural staff. On Tuesday, Allese Williams was named as the Director of Staff Operations for Arizona Women’s Basketball.

“Allese is genuinely an incredible person who takes a tremendous amount of pride in her work and job,” said Burke in a press release on Tuesday. “I am so glad to be able to keep Allese along side of me as we transition from Buffalo to Tucson. I look forward to continuing to work together on winning championships and building champions here at Arizona.”

Tuesday’s release did not outline the specific responsibilities of the new Director of Staff Operations role.

Williams spent the past two seasons at Buffalo with Burke as the Bulls’ Director of Basketball Operations. In her role, Williams managed day-to-day program logistics, travel coordination, and helped plan and execute team events and recruiting operations. Prior to Buffalo, she worked at the University of Alabama, working in the athletic communications department, where she served as the rowing team’s sports information director, and as an operations intern with the Crimson Tide men’s basketball program.

Like newly appointed assistant coach Jenna Knudson, new Director of Staff Operations Allese Williams played for Becky Burke at Embry Riddle in Prescott, Arizona. She played for Burke for the first two seasons of her collegiate career, before Burke took the head coaching role at Division II Charleston in West Virginia.
