The Arizona Wildcats have landed their first commitment of 2025 under Brent Brennan following a pledge from three-star tight end Kellan Ford.

Ford is a 6-5, 230-pound tight end from Danville, California, who attends Monte Vista High School. 247Sports rates him as the No. 60 player from California, No. 36 tight end, and No. 762 overall prospect in the 2025 Composite Ratings. While Arizona recruited Ford as a tight end, he is a two-way player who can also play defensive end. Given his size and strength, Ford figures to be both a pass-catching and blocking tight end once he arrives in Tucson.

Ford also comes from an athletic family. His mother played soccer at Washington and his father played football at Washington State. His aunt is also a former Colorado volleyball player, while his older sister plays beach volleyball at UCLA.

This past season, Ford hauled in 25 receptions for 294 yards and four touchdowns for the Monte Vista Mustangs, including a seven-catch, 75-yard, one touchdown performance against Amador Valley.

The three-star tight end ultimately chose the Wildcats over a number of other programs, including Boston College, Cal, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, Washington, Washington State, and Wyoming. Following his commitment, Kellan Ford has an official visit to Arizona scheduled for June 21, 2024.
