It’s official visit season, and as high school recruits start to make their decision to play college football, sometimes when it rains, it starts to pour. That appears to be the case for the Arizona Wildcats, who have picked up their second commit in as many days following a host of official visits over the weekend. On Monday, 2026 three-star edge Harvie Moeai announced his commitment to Arizona.
Moeai, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound edge from Lehi, Utah, currently preps at Skyridge High School. According to the 247Sports.com internal ratings, he is the No. 25 player from Utah and the 131st-rated edge rusher in the class of 2026. Following his commitment to Arizona, Moeai picked up a composite rating as the No. 20 player from Utah, 101st-rated edge, and No. 1,293 overall player in the class of 2026. He held offers from nine programs, including Cal, Fresno State, Washington State, and more.
Moeai took an official visit to Tucson over the weekend from June 6-8, and also has official visits to Fresno State and Washington State currently scheduled, though it is unclear if those will remain on the calendar following his commitment to the Wildcats.
Per MaxPreps.com, in 11 games last season, he tallied seven tackles, two tackles for loss, including one sack, and one pass deflection. He also had a 3-yard receiving touchdown during his junior season.
With the commitment from Harvie Moeai, the Arizona Wildcats’ 2026 recruiting class now features seven players from five different states, including Arizona, California, Texas, Washington, and now Utah. He is the third defensive player in the 2026 recruiting class, joining in-state defensive back commit Hamisi Juma and linebacker Dash Fifita, the reigning Trinity League Defensive MVP and younger brother of Wildcats’ quarterback Noah Fifita.
