Arizona goalkeeper Hope Hisey has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

In the classroom, the fifth-year senior graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and is currently set to graduate this December with her master’s degree in Legal Studies. She maintained a 4.0 GPA through both degree programs.

On the pitch, Hisey has been busy re-writing the record books. The Tucson native recently broke the Arizona program record for saves with 361, which also ranks eighth all-time in Pac-12 history. She also has the most starts in Arizona program history (84), as well as the Wildcats’ second-most career shutouts (23) during her five-year career in Tucson.

This season, Hope has recorded 72 saves, which is tied for fifth-best in the conference, as well as a .727 save percentage, four shutouts, and a goal-against-average of 1.52.

Throughout her time in Tucson, Hisey earned All-Pac-12 Honors twice, including an All-Pac-12 Freshman team nod in 2019, and a All-Pac-12 Third team selection in 2022. Hope was also a four-time Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week (3 – 2022 & 1 – 2023).

Hope Hisey joins Sheaffer Skadsen (2015) as the second Wildcat to be named the Pac-12 Women’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
