As expected, the best receiver in UA program history has officially played his final game in a Wildcat uniform. On Thursday, Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan declared for the 2025 NFL Draft via social media.

The highest rated recruit in program history has been a household name in Tucson and across the country since flipping his commitment from Oregon to Arizona back in 2022, joining Servite High School teammate and lifelong friend Noah Fifita, as well as tight end Keyan Burnett, and Jacob Manu.

In three seasons in Tucson, T-Mac became Arizona’s all-time receiving yards leader, passing current receivers coach, Bobby Wade. Through 37 career games, McMillan hauled in 213 receptions for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns (good for third is program history). McMillan also holds the single game receiving yards record (304) and shares the single game touchdown record (4) with Jacob Cowing, setting both records in Arizona’s season-opening victory over New Mexico this season.

McMillan has garnered a number of conference and national awards during his historic career in the Old Pueblo, including Associated Press (AP) Third-Team All-American honors in 2023, as well as AP National Player of the Week following his aforementioned performance against New Mexico this season. T-Mac also received First-Team All-Big 12 honors and became the first Biletnikoff Award finalist in Arizona program history following the conclusion of the 2024 season.

After entering as Arizona’s highest rated recruit, and leaving as the Wildcats’ all-time receiving yards leader, T-Mac is now looking for another UA record: become the highest drafted player in program history. ESPN’s latest mock draft has him going 7th overall to the Tennessee Titans, which would tie former UA defensive lineman Ricky Hunley, selected 7th overall in 1984 draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. A first-round selection would also make T-Mac the first wide receiver taken in the first-round in program history.

Tetairoa McMillan is the second Wildcat to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, joining offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea. Cornerback Tacario Davis has also been touted as a possible early draft entrant, but entered the transfer portal on Wednesday.

Regardless of which team is lucky enough to get T-Mac, he has cemented his legacy as the greatest wide receiver in Arizona history. The only question left is – how soon before he gets a statue?
