Arizona’s wide receiver room is nearly unrecognizable versus a year ago, but the Wildcats have once again landed a player on the nation’s top receiver watch list entering the season. On Wednesday, Arizona wide receiver 2025 Luke Wysong was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.

The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the nation’s top FBS receiver, regardless of position, annually. Wysong is one of 46 players to make the initial watch list, as well as one of 10 pass-catchers from the Big 12.

Last season, first-round NFL Draft pick and the UA’s all-time receiving yards leader Tetairoa McMillan became the first player in program history to be a named a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.

While Wysong has yet to play in a game as an Arizona Wildcat, he is no stranger to Arizona Stadium. In the Wildcats’ season opener against New Mexico, the former Lobo took full advantage of his opportunity under the lights, hauling in eight receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. He finished the 2024 season with 69 receptions for 840 yards and the lone touchdown scored in Tucson.

Wysong is one of a number of new receivers in an updated room for the Wildcats, which looks to replace the production McMillan by committee. Wysong is one of four transfers, alongside Washington State transfer Kris Hutson, former Chattanooga wideout Javin “Nunu” Whatley, and Kansas State transfer Tre Spivey who have found a new home in Tucson.
