After starting the season as the AP National Player of the Week, the best wide receiver in UA history ends his career as an AP All-American. On Monday, Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was named Associated Press (AP) First-Team All-American.

McMillan led the Big 12 in receiving yards (1,319) and receiving yards per game (109.9), and also finished third in the nation in receiving, and second amongst wide receivers. He is Arizona’s first AP First-Team All-American since Scooby Wright III was a unanimous selection in 2014. He is also the first Wildcat to earn All-American recognition in consecutive seasons since Scooby Wright III in 2013 and 2014, after earning AP Third-Team All-American honors following the 2023 season.

Tetairoa McMillan adds to his growing list of postseason accolades, which now includes AP First-Team All-American, First-Team All-Big 12, AP First-Team All-Big 12, Biletnikoff Award Finalist, Walter Camp Second-Team All-American, PFF Biletnikoff Award, PFF First-Team All-American, CBS/247Sports First-Team All-American, and Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Finalist.

McMillan, who set the program all-time receiving yards record (3,423) in Arizona’s penultimate game of the season, is third in program history with 26 career touchdown receptions, and fourth in career receptions (213). He also holds the single-game receiving yards record (304) and matched Jacob Cowing’s single-game touchdown record (4) in the Wildcats’ season-opener victory over New Mexico.

While the postseason awards continue to roll in for the best receiver in UA program history, T-Mac has his sights set on the next level, after officially declaring for the NFL Draft last week. Most mock drafts project T-Mac as a lock for a top 10 selection, with some projections as high as 6th overall.
