T-Mac’s already historic season and career in Tucson continues ahead of his final game as a Wildcat on Saturday. On Tuesday, Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan was named a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award. The award is presented annually to the best receiver in college football.
T-Mac is one of three finalists for the award, joining Colorado’s Travis Hunter and San José State’s Nick Nash. The final vote to determine the winner will be decided from December 1 through December 7. The winner will be announced on December 12, at the Home Depot College Football Awards.
McMillan is currently third in the nation and second amongst wide receivers in receiving yards with 1,251 yards. He is also the top receiver in the Big 12, outpacing Travis Hunter by 215 yards. Last Saturday against TCU, T-Mac became Arizona’s all-time receiving yards leader, passing his receivers coach Bobby Wade, with 3,355 yards.
Tetairoa McMillan is the first Biletnikoff Award semifinalist for the Wildcats since Austin Hill in 2012, and the first finalist in program history. Naturally, he would be Arizona’s first Biletnikoff Award winner if selected on December 12
