Quincy Craig had one of the most dynamic plays on the field Saturday as the Wildcats advanced to six wins and bowl game eligibility. The Big 12 thought so too, as Quincy Craig was named Offensive Player of the Week following the Arizona Wildcats’ 24-20 win over Kansas.
Craig had an efficient game to say the least. The running back had just three carries for 47 yards, all of which came in the fourth quarter, as well as the go-ahead touchdown with 39 left to play in the ball game. Craig also hauled in two receptions for 13 yards and another touchdown, the score that helped Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita tie the program’s all-time career passing touchdowns record.
Craig is the Arizona second player in as many weeks to take home weekly conference honors, after Noah Fifita earned the honor following the Wildcats’ 52-17 win at Colorado. It’s now the fourth time an Arizona player has taken home the weekly honors, after Ismail Mahdi’s selection following the win over Kansas State and Fifita’s selections after wins against Oklahoma State and Colorado.
Craig is second on the team with 281 rushing yards this season, but leads all rushers averaging 7.0 yards per carry (min. 10 attempts).
The Wildcats are back on the road this week against Cincinnati. The Bearcats are currently third in the Big 12 standings with an overall record of 7-2, including a 5-1 conference record. The game kicks off on Saturday, November 15, at 10:00 AM MST on FS1.
