The mass exodus for Arizona women’s basketball continues following the departure of head coach Adia Barnes. The Wildcats are down to just three scholarship players left, and no longer have any incoming players in the 2025 class. That’s because on Monday, Arizona forward Sahnya Jah transferred to SMU, while signees Roxy White and Jazzy Gipson flipped their commitment to the Mustangs.

The 6-foot Jah transferred to Arizona after spending her freshman year at South Carolina under Dawn Staley. Jah appeared in 18 games for the Wildcats this season, averaging 6.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists, and 0.9 steals while shooting 34.8 percent from the field in 15.2 minutes per game. She had a career-high 22 points to secure her first career double-double in Arizona’s win over Weber State.

Her season was not without some controversy though, as she missed nine games due to an undisclosed suspension, per PJ Brown, then of the Arizona Daily Star.

For Roxy White and Jazzy Gipson, their time at Arizona ended as quickly as it started. White, the 5-foot-11 guard from Frankfort, Illinois, was the first member of the Wildcats’ 2025 recruiting class. Prep Girls Hoops recently rated her as the No. 7 prospect from Illinois in the class of 2025.

Gipson, a 6-foot small forward originally from Albuquerque, NM, will now be staying home after playing her high school ball at Duncanville just outside of the Dallas area. Prep Girls Hoops rates her as a top 30 prospect from the Lone Star State.

With Sahnya Jah, Roxy White, and Jazzy Gipson following Adia Barnes to SMU, Arizona’s roster is down to Montaya Dew, Erin Tack, and Brooklyn Rhodes. The Wildcats’ next coach will likely have to rely heavily on the transfer portal, with both of the UA’s signees flipping as well.
