While the transfer portal has been more than kind to Arizona this week, the Wildcats are continuing to look at all levels to bolster both sides of the ball next season. And with the coaching staff’s ties to the Bay Area, Northern California, and the Central Valley, the UA went to the JUCO ranks to find another piece for its depleted secondary. Arizona has landed a commitment from Fresno City College defensive back Brandon Holmes.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Holmes is a native of Tempe, Arizona and attended Corona Del Sol High School. He picked the Wildcats over offers from Hawaii, Incarnate Word, Sacramento State, Washington State, and more.
During two seasons with the Rams, Holmes played in 19 games, recording 54 tackles, including 45 during the 2025 season, as well as five interceptions, a sack, and 11 pass breakups. He earned unanimous First-Team NorCal All-Valley Conference honors following the 2025 season.
Brandon Holmes is the fourth defensive back Arizona has added this week as it looks to replace most of its starting secondary from a year ago. The Wildcats have added Tyrese Boss (Wyoming), Malcom Hartzog Jr. (Nebraska), and Cam Chapa (Northern Colorado) via the portal.
