Arizona’s 2020 NBA Draft class is getting paid.
Two days after Zeke Nnaji signed a 4-year, $32 million deal with the Denver Nuggets, fellow former-Wildcat Josh Green is inking a 3-year, $41 million extension with the Dallas Mavericks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Last season through 60 games, Green averaged 9.1 points per game (career-high) and 3 rebounds per game. He also posted career-highs in field goal percentage (53.7%), 3-point percentage (40.2%), and starts (21).
ESPN’s Tim Bontemps reports that Josh Green “is expected to play a significant role in Dallas’ frontcourt this season” as a “3-and-D wing” alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Green was inducted into the Arizona Ring of Honor in the McKale Center this past February during the Wildcats’ 88-62 win over the Utah Utes. He qualified for the honor after winning an Olympic bronze medal with Australia in 2021 Tokyo Olympic Summer Games.
