- Spent the 2023-24 season at his alma mater, San Jose State, as the Spartans’ head coach of football athletic performance.
- Oversaw all aspects of student-athlete development efforts, with an emphasis on injury prevention, athletic performance enhancement, and mental discipline training.
- Prior to SJSU, spent nine seasons (2014-22) at Stanford in multiple roles:
- 2019-22: Director of Football Sports Performance. Carroll saw 13 of his athletes drafted by NFL teams during that four year span.
- 2017-2018: Assistant Director of Football Sports Performance
- 2014-2016: Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach
**Carroll also served as the Sports Performance Coach for both the Stanford men’s swimming and men’s gymnastics programs while assisting with the wrestling program.
