After finishing his career as the program’s all-time receiving yards leader, the Wildcats have a Tetairoa McMillan-sized hole to replace at receiver this offseason. And since it would be near impossible to ask one player to step in and replace T-Mac, Brent Brennan and Co. have elected to do it by committee. On Monday, former Mercyhurst wide receiver Cameron Barmore announced he has committed to Arizona.

Barmore, a 6-foot-6, 230-pound native of Panama, New York, heads to Tucson for his sixth season of college football. During his time in Erie, Pennsylvania, which saw the Lakers transition from Division II to the FCS level, he had 162 receptions for 2,299 yards and 28 touchdowns. Barmore played in a truncated spring season in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before redshirting during the 2023 season after appearing in four games. He had a breakout season for the Lakers in 2024, hauling in 71 receptions for 913 yards and 13 touchdowns.

After leading the NEC in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns, Barmore received NEC First-Team and Phil Steele NEC First-Team All-Conference honors.

While Barmore was a wide receiver at his previous stop, he will transition to tight end at Arizona. With Keyan Burnett and Dorian Thomas transferring, he will join Sam Olson, who followed Brent Brennan and Matt Adkins from San José State a year ago, in the tight end room. The Wildcats are also returning Phoenix native Tyler Powell and redshirt junior Roberto Miranda.

The Wildcats have now added 14 players through the transfer portal. With Cameron Barmore committed, Arizona now has three new targets for Noah Fifita to throw to next season, following the additions of wide receivers Luke Wysong from New Mexico and Kris Hutson from Washington State.
