Arizona capped off an exciting and dynamic performance against the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday with a well-deserved honor for the man who largely orchestrated the 52-17 win in Boulder. Fifita completed 11-of-19 (57.9%) passes on Saturday, throwing for 213 yards and tossing four touchdowns, all of which came in the first half. Then, with the lead comfortably in hand, backup quarterback Braedyn Locke took over midway through the third quarter, closing out the game in Boulder. Noah Fifita also took home Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors following his 376-yard, five-touchdown performance in the 41-13 Big 12 home-opener win over Oklahoma State.
Fifita is currently third in the Big 12 this season in passing touchdowns with 21 scores through the air on the season. Furthermore, the redshirt junior now has 65 passing touchdowns in his career at Arizona and is just two shy of tying the program’s all-time record, held by Nick Foles and Willie Tuitama.
