While Arizona may have split its performance last week in Phoenix and Las Vegas, Oumar Ballo put together two of his best games since the 2022 Maui Invitational, earning him the Pac-12 Player of the Week.
Ballo finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds in Arizona’s 87-74 win over Alabama, and followed it up with a 13-point, 21-rebound double-double in Arizona’s 96-95 2OT loss against FAU. Ballo’s 21 rebounds are also a career-high.
Through 11 games, he is averaging 12.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 61.9 percent from the field.
It is the second time Ballo has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, and the second time an Arizona Wildcat has earned the award this season (Kylan Boswell, Nov. 13).
Arizona returns to the hardwood this Thursday, 12/29, at 8:30 PM, in Berkeley to take on Cal.
