After adding three players on Wednesday, the Wildcats have picked up right where they left off. Brent Brennan and Co. continue to search the FCS ranks for dynamic playmakers, and appear to have found another from the Pacific Northwest. On Thursday, former Portland State running back Quincy Craig announced his commitment to Arizona.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back is a native of Garden Grove, California. The former three-star prospect was rated as the No. 984-overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class coming out of high school powerhouse Mater Dei. He held offers from Arizona State, Montana State, and Utah State before ultimately choosing the Vikings.

During his three years at Portland State, Craig appeared in 21 games, carrying the ball 219 times for 1,233 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also hauled in 55 receptions during his career for 530 yards and eight more scores. This past season was Craig’s best statistically, rushing for 602 yards and five touchdowns, adding another 314 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He earned Honorable Mention All-Bi Sky Conference honors following the 2023 season.

He also returned 11 kickoffs and seven punts for 345 yards during his time as a Viking, giving the Wildcats another weapon on special teams.

Craig, who redshirted his freshman year after appearing in just four games, will have two years of eligibility remaining.

The Wildcats now have 23 players added through the transfer portal this offseason. With the commitment from Quincy Craig, Arizona has now added three running backs via the portal, including Ismail Mahdi from Texas State, and Mike Mitchell from Utah.
