Arizona will be without sophomore forward Dylan Anderson this year, as he plans to redshirt the 2023-24 season.
Since Anderson is electing for an intentional redshirt, he will be unable to participate in any Arizona games this season. As a result, Anderson will have three full seasons remaining at Arizona beginning in the 2024-25 season.
The news all but guarantees Lithuanian freshman Motiejus Krivas will be the first big man off the bench for Tommy Lloyd. Between Anderson’s redshirt and Henri Veesaar out indefinitely with an elbow injury, Arizona could be a bit thin at the post to start the season.
Mike Luke of PHNX Wildcats first reported the news, and Rob Anderson, Dylan’s father, later confirmed to Bruce Pascoe and the Arizona Daily Star.
