After putting together the Big 12’s best recruiting class in 2026 – that was ranked in the top 20 nationally – Becky Burke and the Wildcats are off to another hot recruiting start with two things in mind: size and talent. After landing their fourth four-star of the ’27 class, all of which have come on the wings or front court, that couldn’t be more apparent. Following an official visit to Tucson, 2027 four-star wing Corinne Lomax has committed to Arizona Women’s Basketball.
Burke and Co., who enter their second season in the Old Pueblo after spending three seasons at Buffalo, continue to fish for prospect in the Northeast. The 6-foot-0 wing is a native of Watertown, Connecticut, but currently plays for Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts after starting her career at Holy Cross in Connecticut. Last season, the wing averaged 15. 5 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game as a junior, reaching the 1,000 career-point mark of her career.
She also plays club ball for Lady Rivals on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, where she is one of just two players averaging a double-double on the 3SSB circuit during Session I with 12.5 points and 10.0 rebounds.
ESPN rates the four-star prospect as the 11th-best wing and No. 65 overall prospect in the class of 2027. She held offers from a number of Division 1 programs, including Boston College, Memphis, Miami, and Wisconsin, but narrowed her top choices down to Arizona, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Penn State after scheduling official visits. After taking her visit to Tucson, she decided that she won’t be making the rest.
With the commitment to Arizona, Corinne Lomax will now join Brieanna Brown, Celsy Colombo, and Ashely Vande Ven in Tucson next fall. After loading up the backcourt with a combination of talent and youth in 2026, which included former McDonald’s All-American Aliyahna “Puff” Morris and four star freshmen Jasleen Green, Arynn Finley, Makayla Presser-Palmer, Becky Burke’s shift towards loading up the front court with size and youth should give the Wildcats depth across the board for years to come.
