Mark your calendars Wildcat fans because the conference schedule has officially arrived. The Big 12 and Arizona Women’s Basketball released the 2026-27 conference schedule on Thursday.
The Wildcats bookend conference play with a pair of home games at the McKale Center at ALKEME Arena, opening the Big 12 season against BYU on December 19, and concluding on February 27 against ASU ahead of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City. Following the conference home-opener and a break for the holidays, Arizona returns to action in Stillwater at Oklahoma State on December 30.
Becky Burke’s crew returns home for showdown against Iowa State on January 3, before a pair of games in the Sunflower State against Kansas and Kansas State on January 6 and January 9. They return home for a matchup against Texas Tech on January 13, then host defending Big 12 regular season champion TCU on Sunday, January 17.
Arizona stays south, but heads east for a pair of games at UCF on January 20 and Houston on January 23, before hosting former Pac-12 foe Utah on January 27. The Wildcats first game against in-state rival ASU is on January 30 in Tempe.
Arizona gets a bit of a break before hosting defending Big 12 Tournament champion West Virginia at the McKale Center on February 6, before paying BYU a return visit in Provo on February 10. The Wildcats then return home for contests against Bears and Bearcats, hosting Baylor on February 13 and Cincinnati on February 16.
Burke’s group rounds out the season on the road with games at Colorado on February 20 and Utah on February 24, before the season-finale at home against the Sun Devils.
Arizona will face all eight Big 12 NCAA Tournament selections from a season ago – (3) TCU, (4) West Virginia, (6) Baylor, (7) Texas Tech, (8) Iowa State, (8) Oklahoma State, (10) Colorado, and (10) ASU – but has a fairly lucky draw given all things considered. The top five NCAA Tournament seeds from a year ago are only on the calendar once and are all home contests for the Wildcats, while Colorado and ASU have home-and-home games.
In its first year under Becky Burke, Arizona finished with a 12-18 record, including 3-15 in conference play and a first-round exit in the Big 12 Tournament to ASU. This offseason, the Wildcats put together the top recruiting class in the league that checks in at No. 17 nationally.
Arizona opens the season on Monday, November 2 in Las Vegas against former Pac-12 rival Stanford in a rematch of the 2021 national championship game. The non-conference schedule also includes matchups with defending national champion UCLA at Pauley Pavilion and former Pac-12 opponent Oregon State, as well as an appearance in the Scout Jacksonville Classic with games against Vanderbilt and George Washington.
