Becky Burke knew all of last season that Arizona lacked the size and physicality to compete in the Big 12. So naturally, she went out and added a player from the transfer portal that addresses both of those concerns. On Monday, former USC forward Gerda Raulusaityte announced she is transferring to Arizona.
The 6-foot-3 native of Lithuania is a rising senior, but has only played collegiate basketball in the United States for one season. In her lone season as a Trojan, she appeared in 31 games, making 10 starts and averaging 2.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game. Her most notable performance came in USC’s win over Washington, where she finished with eight points and eight rebounds. She also had a career-high nine boards in the season-opener against New Mexico State.
Raulusaityte began her collegiate career at LCC International University in Klaipėda, where she was the 2024-25 Lithuanian Women’s Basketball League MVP. That season, she averaged 15.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in the Women’s LKL Division A. She is also a member of Lithuania’s national team, most recently competing in the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket, while also winning gold at the 2022 FIBA U18 European Championship.
Gerda Raulusaityte is the first forward and second overall transfer portal addition for Becky Burke, who is working to rebuild a depleted Arizona roster from last season, joining former Cal guard Aliyahna “Puff” Morris. With departures from Daniah Trammell and Achol Magot, Nora Francois out of eligibility, and Montaya Dew medically retiring, the Wildcats will have an entirely new front court from a year ago. She will join 2026 early enrollee Callie Hinder in the post.
