While we’re down to just 16 teams left in March Madness, that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of madness across college basketball between coaching changes and the ensuing impacts. On Wednesday, the Wildcats were on the receiving end of one of those changes, picking up another top prospect in their recruiting class. Following a head coaching change at Florida, 2026 four-star guard Arynn “Simba” Finley has flipped her commitment to the Arizona Wildcats.

The 5-foot-10 guard is a west coast native, growing up in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and playing her high school basketball at national powerhouse Etiwanda. Finley held offers from a number of Power 4 programs before originally signing with the Gators, including Arkansas, Michigan State, Oklahoma, and SMU. She was released from her signing with Florida after Tammi Reiss was tapped to lead the Gators earlier this week.

ESPN Hoopgurlz rates Finley as the 16th-best guard and No. 48 overall prospect in the class of 2026. 247Sports.com Composite has her checking in as the No. 6 prospect from California, 8th-best shooting guard, and No. 52 overall player.

247Sports.com Director of Women’s Basketball scouting Brandon Clay describes her as a “capable of making shots in a variety of ways during school and club season,” adding “her ability to hit open shots from the midrange or beyond the arc is a major key.”

Arynn “Simba” Finley becomes the third top prospect in the Arizona Wildcats’ 2026 recruiting class, joining four-stars Jasleen Green, the Gatorade Florida Girls Player of the Year, and Makayla Presser-Palmer. New Jersey wing Priyanka Ponnam and 6-foot-6 Australian center Callie Hinder, who enrolled with the Wildcats early, round out Becky Burke‘s recruiting class.
