After replacing all but one member of the roster a year ago, it’ll be back to the studs as Becky Burke enters her second season as the head coach of the Wildcats. Arizona Women’s Basketball redshirt freshman guard Kamryn Kitchen announced via social media she plans to enter the transfer portal.

The 5-foot-9 guard didn’t have gaudy numbers in her lone season in Tucson, averaging 4.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game, but showed flashes of her shooting potential midway through Big 12 play. In a four-game stretch versus Kansas, Iowa State, ASU, and Oklahoma State, Kitchen averaged 12.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game. Her most compete game came against the Sun Devils in Tempe, where she finished with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals while shooting 5-12 from the field, including 3-6 from 3-point range.

Kitchen, a former Top 60 prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, reclassified to 2024 and began her collegiate career at Virginia, but missed her freshman season with a foot injury.

Kamryn Kitchen becomes the fifth player to transfer from Arizona after seeing action this season in Tucson, joining Tanyuel Welch, Blessing “Adde” Adebanjo, Daniah Trammell, and Achol Magot. OgheneRuona Miracle and Freddie Wallace will also reportedly be listed as transfers out of the program after redshirting this season, though they were away from the program.

For now, it appears Sumayah Sugapong, Molly Ladwig, Mireia “MJ” Jurado, and Montaya Dew, who missed the 2025-26 season recovering from a knee injury, will be back in Tucson for a second season under Becky Burke. The Wildcats are also bolstering the roster with high school signees Jasleen Green, the Florida Girls Gatorade Player of the Year, as well as 6-foot-6 early enrollee Callie Hinder and wing Priyanka Ponnam.
